Criminal Investigation Division

The Criminal Investigations Division conducts follow-up investigations on crimes reported to the Mustang Ridge Police Department Patrol Division. CID investigates homicides, sex crimes, fraud, child abuse, narcotic activity, etc. 

While conducting a speedy investigation into every report is our goal, weekends, holidays, and high-priority cases often delay the process. To inquire about a case’s status, please call 512-243-1005.

CID Mission Statement

The primary purpose of an investigation is to collect facts leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of an offender and to organize and present the facts for a successful prosecution.
